Students in all grades have opportunities to participate in activities that enrich the instructional program. The following is a sampling of approved activities, grouped by grade levels.

Grades K-6

Academic Clubs: 4-H, Library, Honor Roll, Junior Beta

Programs and Related Activities: Awards Day, Ag Day, Arbor Day, Book Fair, Read-a-thon, Flag Ceremonies, Programs on Drug Abuse, Special Olympics, Cultural Arts Day, Band, Civic Ballet Productions, Dental Health Month Activities, Elementary Fitness Meet, Constitution Day

Common Core Aligned Educational Field Trips: Farms, Fire Stations, the Zoo, Acadiana Symphony, Children's Museum, Shadows-on-the Teche, Living History Programs, Educational Theatre Productions, Bayou Teche Museum, etc.

Extracurricular Activities: Pep rallies, class parties, school games, field days, yearbook, festival parades, caroling, picnics, magic shows, band festivals

Grades 7-8

Academic Clubs: Science, Math, Reading/Library, Chorus, Band, Newspaper, Art, Beta, 4-H, Student Government

Special Programs: Substance Abuse Prevention, Awards/Recognitons, Band Concerts, Assemblies,  Shadows on the Teche Living History, etc.

Extracurricular Activities: Sports, Social/Service Clubs, Pep Rallies, Homecoming, Dances, etc.

Grades 9-12

Academic Clubs: Beta, National Honor Society, Family, Career and Community Leaders (FCCLA), Future Business Leaders (FBLA), , 4-H,  Foreign Language, School Newspaper, Yearbook, Band, Chorus., etc.

Service Clubs:  Octagon (Junior Optimists), Key club (Kiwanis International High School Program), Interact Club (Rotary International), Student Government, etc.

Special Programs: Substance Abuse Prevention, College and Career Planning, Awards/Recognitions, Louisiana Boys and Girls State, Hugh O'Brien Youth Foundation, US Senate Youth Leadership, etc.

Academic Contests: District and State Rally, Speech Tournaments, Quiz Bowl, Essay Contests, etc.
