The Iberia Parish School District provides a high quality Pre-Kindergarten program that is funded through various state and federal grant opportunities. The Pre-Kindergarten classrooms located in all elementary schools provide high quality, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for all four year olds enrolled. Highly qualified staff use Tier I curriculum, ongoing professional development knowledge, and daily assessments to implement lessons to meet the needs of all children. Pre-Kindergarten staff provide opportunities for children and their families to grow and develop through meaningful engagement and interactions which in turn helps prepare them for success. The program utilizes LA4, 8(g), and Title I funding to provide services to at-risk families. A limited number of tuition spots are available to families who are above the income limits.
